When God Said, ‘You’re Not Ready’ — And He Was Right

Boy, Oh, Boy… My Faith In God!

Right when I thought things were about to get better... they got worse. But I believe, now, that it was a test—a test of long-suffering. And yes, I suffered. Deeply. But I did not suffer for long, even though, at the time, it felt like forever. I truly thought that I had already been through the wilderness with God. I thought it was time for another breakthrough—specifically a material one (and that alone tells me how immature my thinking still was).
But God said, "You're not ready." And He was right.

Compared to others, I may have seemed spiritually mature. But I wasn't mature enough for what I was asking God for. There was still work to do the day I assumed I was ready-and honestly, there's still work to do now. The difference is this: God has given me clarity.
It's easy to say, "I trust God." But when you're asked to surrender something so personal, so sacred, that only you and God can touch—it's different… That's when trust becomes real. 💯
It's scary... but it's also simple. You just have to walk into it.
This is your reminder if you are confused as to why God hasn’t answered your prayer yet: It’s not because He doesn’t hear you. It’s because He heard everything you said. God does not bless us prematurely. If we were to receive such a blessing, we would be defiling His name by not honoring the Lord with appropriate stewardship toward the goodness He works for us. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. If your prayer hasn’t been answered yet, remain patient, and work on your preparation and your alignment with God.
You can do this by staying in God’s Word, praying to Him continually, and following Jesus’s commandments of the new covenant.
Grace to you, and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ! ♥️ (Romans 1:7)
